The city of Lincoln’s long awaited South Beltway Project is revving its engine.
According to the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT), weather permitting, 84th Street, south of Saltillo Road, is anticipated to open to traffic in early November.

The NDOT roundabout at 84th Street and Saltillo Road, part of the Lincoln South Beltway project, is complete and open to traffic.
In addition, the City of Lincoln completed its street improvement project at Saltillo Road from 70th to 77th streets, providing a new roundabout at 77th Street and Saltillo Road, water main construction and other utility work.
This project and the 84th Street roundabout will provide motorists with additional options for commuting through south Lincoln and increase access and mobility to the communities and amenities in the area.
