Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews rescued a 17-year-old  from a storm drain near 64th and Logan around 10:30 last night. A passerby notified Lincoln Police about the person in the drain in the Havelock area.   LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says crews were then called to the scene to rescue the teen.

“They ended up getting them to an area near 65th and Kearney where the sewer opens up into a drain opening by Ballard pool,” Lierman says.  “LFR used a few ropes to get the person out.  They pretty much walked out on their own.”

The teen was not injured and investigators are trying determine why the teen was in storm drain.
