Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln has launched a new online shopping experience. Director of Development and Marketing Deanna Walz tells KLIN News it’s an extension of their Habitat ReStore. “This is going to be a way that the entire world can shop some of the really fun, unique items that the ReStore carries and do it in the comfort of their couch.”
Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln opened the Habitat ReStore in 2014 as a way to help raise funds for their mission of building and repairing homes for people in need of safe, affordable housing. The thrift store recently moved to a brand new location at 5601 S. 59th Street.
“And the cool thing is we’re going to be able to add items that you can only find online that are not available in the store,” Walz says Popular items include collectibles, dishware, art, musical instruments and small electronics.
She says online format offers additional items through Ebay and Shopify platforms. You can click here to access the online store. Walz says donations are needed. Items can be dropped off at the Donation Center on the south side of the building.
Since 1988 Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln has built or repaired more than 200 local homes.
