The National Weather Service says strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible in Lincoln and southeast Nebraska. Meteorologist Laurel McCoy tells KLIN News a strong cold front will move through the area after 6:00 p.m. allowing the storms to develop.
“Biggest risk will probably be hail. Could see some damaging winds and heavy rain as well.” McCoy says a couple of tornadoes are also possible. After the system moves through we will be looking at a big cool down this weekend.
“Highs are going to be in the low to mid 50’s so it will certainly feel like later fall this weekend.”
