Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook always talks about needing to win deuce games.
NU dropped the first set by two, but then took the second by two before running away with a 3-1 victory at Indiana Saturday night: 23-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-19. The 13-0 Huskers are off to their best start since the 2008 squad started 20-0.
Indiana dominated the block, outdoing Nebraska 11-2. But it was NU that had the hitting advantage .338 to .168.
Marritt Beason posted a career-high with 22 kills on .400 hitting. Harper Murray was just behind that with 17 kills on .368 hitting.
For the second night in a row, Bergen Reilly went over 50 assists with 53.
Nebraska stays on the road next weekend at Michigan State Friday and at Michigan Saturday.
