A man is facing several charges after the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department says he struck a vehicle and drove toward a group of kids playing football in the street.   Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says it all started around 7:30 p.m. when 43-year-old Brian Davidson drove off the road and hit a pickup in a driveway.
“With his Dodge, he hits the Silverado, continues north and goes up over the curb by a fire hydrant where the kids had laid down their cellphones down to play catch, runs over those,” Houchin says.  One of the kids had his foot run over, but did not need medical attention.
Houchin says damage to the phones is more than $1,000.  Davidson was arrested after pulling into his driveway.   Davidson was arrested for DWI,  reckless driving, no license, refusing a chemical test and leaving the scene of an accident.
