Blue Moon Fitness’ has suddenly closed operations on its Lincoln location.
“After much deliberation, I’ve concluded that we can no longer sustain the level of service you deserve at our Lincoln location,” read the posted notice on the front entrance of the 48th and Dudley Street gym, penned by Blue Moon’s Chief “Enlightenment” Officer, Joel Potter.

However, Blue Moon members aren’t left hanging by this unexpected closure, the notice continued, “I’ve made the strategic decision to transition our valued memberships to Anytime Fitness in Lincoln.”
Perhaps more surprising than the unprompted shut down, Blue Moon has transferred all their memberships to a market competitor, Anytime Fitness, which has three Lincoln locations and one in Hickman.
Potter offered reasons for this decision, saying, “I chose Anytime Fitness as your new fitness home carefully. They offer: (1) Affordable Membership Plans, (2) Comprehensive Personal Training Services, (3) Multiple Locations for Your Convenience, and (4) A Welcoming and Comfortable Environment”
Blue Moon members can start using their new Anytime Fitness membership immediately. To onboard your new contract, members are asked to visit the Anytime Fitness location at 4900 N 26th Street. Staff will give you a 24 hour access key usable at all three Lincoln locations, and all 4,500 gyms Anytime Fitness has worldwide.
Anytime Fitness staff will be available for extended hours for Monday-Thursday, 9am-7:30pm, and Friday 9am-6pm, to help facilitate new member onboarding.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each of you for being an integral part of our community,” Potter’s somber announcement concluded.
Luke with Anytime Fitness posted a reel to the Blue Moon Fitness – Lincoln Facebook, welcoming new members with open arms and offering them two weeks of free personal training, “We want to care, coach, and connect with you, and welcome you to the family.”
