A 38-year-old man was arrested late Saturday morning after Lancaster County Sheriff’s officials say he was driving drunk with a 12-month-old in the back seat. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says a caller reported a vehicle parked near 56th and Rokeby Road around 11:30 a.m.

“Deputies get there in about five minutes.  During that time two witnesses saw the individual in the driver’s seat step out on the road, urinate and get back into the vehcile.”   Houhcin says Patrick Regan smelled of alcohol.  He was taken to the Lancaster County Jail where it was determined he had a blood alcohol level of .259, more than three times the legal limit.

Houchin says there were some alcohol containers in the vehicle. The mother came and picked up the uninjured child, who was properly secured in a car seat. Regan was booked for third-offense DUI, felony child abuse and other charges.
