Lincoln Police were called to a home near 29th and Clinton Thursday afternoon to investigate a theft. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a 42 year old man said he was contacted by an acquaintance who told him his box of rare coins and gold doubloons was missing.
“The victim explained he has been out of town for work since February and it is unknown when the box would have been taken,” Vollmer says. The contents of the box is valued at $21,100. The investigation is ongoing.
