Lincoln Police were called to a construction site near 22nd and P Street just before 8:00 Tuesday morning to investigate a burglary. “An employee arrived for work and found one of their storage containers had been broken into,” says Captain Todd Kocian. “The lock had been cut and the container damaged.”
The damage to the container is estimated at $400. Kocian says employees reported that a variety of construction tools were missing from the storage box and the buildings that are under
construction at the site.
The loss of tools is estimated at $7,300. “Employees are conducting a detailed inventory to determine if any additional items are missing,” Kocian says. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
