Lincoln Police were called to the Country Inn and Suites near 27th and Folkways Blvd around 10:00 Thursday night on a report of a person playing loud music inside a running car.
“Officers contacted 39-year-old Megan Martinez who showed signs of impairment,” says Captain Todd Kocian. “Upon being informed she was under arrest for DUI, Martinez attempted to flee from officers on foot and taken into custody.”
Kocian says a probable cause search was done on the vehicle and officers found 8.4 grams of methamphetamines, 6.9 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 14.4 grams of of marijuana and a .45 caliber handgun.
Nearly $8,500 in cash and drug paraphernalia was also found. Martinez was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of money while violating state statutes, possession of a firearm with a drug violation, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, resisting arrest and DUI.
