Lincoln Police say a motorcycle rider was hurt after a crash at Cornhusker Highway and Yolande Avenue around 9:40 Sunday night.  Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a 1994 Harley Davidson motorcycle had collided with a 2014 Chevy Traverse.

“The motorcyclist, a 53-year-old Lincoln man, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Traverse, 61-year-old Lincoln man,
was not injured.”

He says the preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was westbound on Cornhusker Highway and collided with the front of the SUV, which was southbound on Yolande and stopped at the stop sign.

The investigation is continuing and no citations have been issued at this time.
