A Lincoln man who discovered his camper had been stolen helped Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies track down the suspects. Sheriff Terry Wagner says the camper was stored behind the Emerald Mini Mart on West “O” Street until a few days ago.
“The man discovered his camper was not there when he went out there,” Wagner says. The man went looking for his $15,000 camper and found it at Branched Oak Lake on Wednesday evening and called the sheriff’s department.
Wagner says they arrested 41-year-old Jesse Lankford and 50-year-old Elizabeth Morey for theft. They cut the lock off the tongue of the camper and hooked onto it and stole it,” Wagner says.
