Second LPS Student Struck By A Vehicle

By Tom Stanton Aug 16, 2023 | 11:27 AM

For the second time in two days an Lincoln Public Schools student has been struck by a car.  Lincoln Police say a 14 year old boy was hit near 8th and C Streets around 8:00 Wednesday morning. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says it happened about two blocks from Everett Elementary and about three blocks from Park Middle School.

The teen was not seriously hurt. Vollmer says they continue to look for the driver of an SUV that struck a Culler Middle School student yesterday in a crosswalk near the school.  The driver didn’t stop and continued driving eastbound on Vine Street.

Vollmer says they have received several calls from the public about the incident and they are asking anyone with doorbell cameras to give them a call  at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
