His name is Dodger and he is the newest member of Nebraska Task Force One based in Lincoln. In a Facebook post LFR said Dodger was trained by Search Dog Foundation and was matched with his handler Adam Schaaf in July of 2022.
Dodger is now a certified to assist in search and rescue missions. Dodger is one of four search and rescue dogs and is stationed at Firehouse 15. “When Dodger & Adam are not training, he assists with station tours, and keeps up the crew moral up by always being able to put a smile on their faces,” LFR said in the Facebook post. “He’s a sucker for ice cubes and neck rubs.”
