Lincoln Police are investigating after several expensive purses were stolen from Dillard’s at 61st and O Street Monday afternoon. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers spoke with store employees who said two women and a man came into the store around 1:30 p.m. and headed for the purse section.
The trio asked to see a selection of bags and the employee unlocked the display case. “Once the bags were unlocked, the two females grabbed handfuls of bags and ran from the store,” Vollmer says. “The employee gave chase and then the male also grabbed a selection of bags and left the store.”
The three were seen leaving the parking lot in a small sedan with no license plates. Vollmer says eleven bags valued at $11,000 were taken.
