There was a very small increase in the June Nebraska Leading Economic Index. According to the UNL Bureau of Business Research the index rose 0.06% with Initial Unemployment Claims the weakest component which dropped 0.24%. The indicator is designed to predict economic activity six months into the future.
Business expectations improved in June along with manufacturing hours and airline passenger counts. The dollar exchange rate also rose slightly, 0.02%.
