A Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol around 2:00 Sunday morning and spotted a suspected drunk driver on Highway 6 near 98th Street. “The deputy followed the vehicle and activated his emergency equipment,” says Captain Tommy Trotter.
“The vehicle continued and a brief pursuit occurred and entered into Waverly,” Trotter says. He says the the driver was going at a low speed. 41-year-old Vincente Bustamante of Greenwood was arrested for DUI. Trotter says his blood alcohol level was .228, nearly three times the legal limit.
He was also arrested for flight to avoid arrest, refusing a preliminary breath test and possession of marijuana.
