After less than two months of service Red Way Airlines has announced that it will be dropping all direct flights from Lincoln Airport to Austin, Texas on August 6 and Minneapolis and Atlanta on August 8.
In a statement Red Way said there wasn’t enough demand to continue operating those routes. “Truthfully, we understand that this is disappointing news and we are deeply apologetic to all who are impacted.” All customers who purchased tickets will get a refund.
“This is a decision that was not easy for us to make, but one that we believe is essential for the future of Red Way and our commitment to providing Lincoln and all of Nebraska outstanding service to destinations that thrive.”
Earlier this week Red Way announced two new flights to Tampa and Phoenix beginning in December. There will be two flights each week to both cities. Red Way also offers non-stop flights to Las Vegas and Orlando.
