A 26 year old Lincoln woman fought back during an attempted robbery Friday night. LPD Investigator Scott Parker says the woman was getting out of her car near 14th and Sumner just after 10:00 when one of three teenage suspects demanded she hand over her belongings.
“She threw her slushie at him as a distraction and was able to re-enter her car, locking the doors,” Investigator Scott parker says. “The males fled as she contacted police.” The suspects fled the scene in a stolen Hyundai Sonata, which was later found abandoned at 58th and Lillibridge.
Parker believes the same group of teens robbed a 33 year old man about 20 minutes earlier near 16th and ‘D’ Street. “The teens accused him of parking in a family member’s stall. The victim agreed to move his car, but was assaulted and relieved of his wallet and phone.”
