Lincoln Police say all southbound lanes of South 56th Street from Pioneers Blvd. to Spruce St. reopened just before 8:00 Thursday morning.  The road had been shut down following a one vehicle crash around 11:30 Wednesday morning that damaged a utility pole.

LPD says the SUV was northbound on South 56th Street when a witness reported that it went into the southbound lane and left the road before colliding with the pole.  The driver told police he doesn’t remember the crash.  LPD says it appears the man had a medical episode prior to the crash.

He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
