A man is in custody after he fired a gun outside of a west Lincoln home last Sunday.
On July 16th, police spoke to a woman in the area of Southwest 13th and West South Streets, who said 23-year-old Zayne Trujillo had threatened to shoot her home, and waived a gun at another woman.
Trujillo was asked to leave and at first did, but returned a short time later and fired two shots outside her home drove off. During an investigation, officers discovered the front drivers side window and rear window of a nearby vehicle was damaged, damage is estimated at $700, and located a spent shell casing.
Tuesday night, July 18th, officers contacted Trujillo at his residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Lincoln Police Captain Todd Kocian said Trujillo was arrested for Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, Terroristic Threats, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person.
