Lancaster county sheriffs pulled over 4 teens in a stolen vehicle going 74 mph near South Coddington and West Denton Road (a 55 mph zone) around 3:30 A.M., Monday morning.
Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said the vehicle was a 2020 Ford Escape, stolen from a Lincoln home around 8 P.M. with the owner reporting having left the keys in the vehicle. The value of the car was estimated at $30,000.
Several bottle of Leinenkugel Summer Shandy beer were located inside in the car. All four teens were arrested and cited for possession of stolen property over $5000 and MIP (minor in possession), and released to their parents. The three passengers were females ages 14-15, and the driver, a 15 year-old male, was also cited for driving improperly on a learners permit.
