For the second time in less than a week thieves used a car to break in to the Lincoln Vapor store near 27th and Fairfield. Captain Todd Kocian says on Tuesday morning someone found the 2013 Hyundai Sonata abandoned near 27th and Old Dairy Road. The doors were open and inside was stolen merchandise.
They were then notified about the burglary at the store. “The security video shows the vehicle driving into the front doors and four parties dressed in hoodies enter the business,” Kocian says. The store owner says about $1,000 worth of vape products was taken and damage to the business is estimated at $5,500.
Kocian says the Sonata was stolen from a Bellevue car dealership. Back on July 6 a vehicle drove into the front of the business and several suspects took vape products and caused more than $8,000 in damage. It’s not known if both cases are related and the investigation is continuing.
