A driver lost control of their vehicle in a central-Lincoln residential area just after 9 a.m. Monday morning.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue response units were dispatched on a report of a car striking a three-story apartment building located on the southeast corner of the North 25th and Q Street intersection. The vehicle made its way over the sidewalk and lawn outside the complex and made contact under a window on the first floor, narrowly missing a stack of balconies.

At the scene, LFR Battalion Chief Jeremy Gegg said there were two individuals in the car. One was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the other uninjured. It is not known which was the driver of the vehicle. No one in the building was hurt.

Gegg added that LFR will defer to Lincoln Police to determine the cause of the crash, which is not yet known at this time.
