For the first time in 3 years, Regents approved an average 3.5% tuition hike across all universities in the NU system.
Beginning this next fall semester, University of Nebraska-Lincoln students will pay an increased $9 per credit hour, bringing the total to $268. On average this will cost UNL students $270 more in tuition in 2023-24. University of Nebraska-Omaha will pay an increased $8 per credit hour, bringing the total to $243. On average this will cost UNO students $240 more in tuition. University of Nebraska-Kearney students will pay an increased $7 per credit hour, bringing the total to $216. On average this will cost UNK students $210 more in tuition.
University of Nebraska Medical Center students will also pay 3.5% more in tuition next year, however academic program costs vary. Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture students will pay an increased $5 per credit hour, bringing the total to $144.
President Ted Carter said he is not considering a tuition increase for the next academic year of 2024-25.
