Lincoln Police believe the same suspects are responsible for two smoke shop burglaries.  Sergeant Chris Vollmer says the first one happened around 4:00 Thursday morning at Smokaha near 56th and Nebraska Parkway.

“Arriving officers observed the suspects had attempted to gain entry into the business by hitting the front glass door with a trash can lid.”  Vollmer says they were unsuccessful and left empty-handed.

Less than five minutes later thieves struck the Cloud 9 Smoke Shop near 50th and Old Cheney.  Vollmer says this time a brick was used to smash the back glass door and they were able to take an unknown amount of vape products.

Damage to the business is around $1,000.
