Frank Solich Among Names on College Football Hall of Fame 2024 Ballot

Frank Solich is a vote away from of the College Football Hall of Fame.

The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame has announced the names of players and coaches for the 2024 ballot. This is Solich’s second year on the ballot.

Solich is one of nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision on the ballot. He was an assistant at Nebraska from 1979-1997, before taking over as the head coach through 2003. He closed his career at Ohio from 2005-2020.

In total, 179 players and 41 coaches are up for selection.

The ballot was emailed Monday to the more than 12,000 NFF members and current Hall of Famers whose votes will be tabulated and submitted to the NFF’s Honors Court, which will deliberate and select the class. The Honors Court includes an elite and geographically diverse pool of athletic administrators, Hall of Famers and members of the media.

The announcement of the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2024.

The 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 66th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Las Vegas on Dec. 10, 2024, and permanently immortalized at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. They will also be honored at their respective schools with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the 2024 season.
