Man Arrested For Threatening Roommate With Knife

A man is accused of threatening his roommate with a knife at their home near 148th and O Street. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says deputies were called by the victim around 3:00 Wednesday morning.

“He reported that his roommate, Luke Russell, came home after drinking and began pounding on his door and destroying some of his property,” Houchin says a 75 inch flat screen TV, a PlayStation and two video cameras were destroyed.   There were also some holes in the drywall.

During the incident Houchin says Russell challenged his roommate to come out and threatened him with a kitchen knife.  “His roommate, in self defense, grabbed a stun gun to protect himself.

“When deputies arrived, they contacted Mr. Russell on the back porch where he was  take into custody without incident.”  Houchin says the knife was found.  Russell was arrested and booked for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit and felony.  He was also cited and released for criminal mischief.
