The Legislature’s Government and Military Affairs Committee is backing a Voter ID version that has been called ‘unconstitutional and an abomination.
State Senator Julie Slama told the Nebraska Examiner that AM 1748 makes elections less secure and violate the language of the successful Constitutional Amendment. Slama also claims Secretary of State Bob Evnen obstructed the process.
