A Lincoln man was arrested for assaulting a police officer and LFR personnel in the parking lot of the Warhorse Casino last Sunday night. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers were called to the casino around 10:20 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated man laying in the parking lot.
He says fire and rescue first arrived and advised the man was becoming aggressive with them. “The arriving officers found LFR personnel restraining 32-years-of-age Zachary Krull on the ground,” Vollmer says. He says Krull had pushed one LFR member and tried to punch another in the face before being restrained.
“Krull was taken into custody but refused to enter a cruiser,” Vollmer says. After being carried to the cruiser and put into the backseat, Vollmer says Krull kicked an officer in the face and chest. Krull was taken to jail where he was booked for three counts of assault on an officer/health care professional and resisting arrest.
