There is an Enhanced Risk for severe weather today. Storm initiation is expected along a dryline from Albion to Columbus to Lincoln near 2 pm, and then continue to develop east southeast, while moving to the northeast.
Severe storms should move out of the local area by 10 pm. All modes of severe weather are possible, including large hail 1 to 2 inches in diameter, damaging winds, flash flooding, and a tornado or two.
There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather for northeast Nebraska and western Iowa Saturday.
