The Haymarket Farmer’s Market is returning this weekend for the spring/summer season.
The market runs from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, rain or shine, every Saturday. The last market will be October 14th.
Shoppers can peruse around and enjoy dozens of local commodities, “Breakfast, lunch, crafts items, produce whatever you want. It’ll be here for you. It’s really a fun, social event for people. You can bring your dogs down, interact with other people. It’s just a great overall market,” said Market spokesman Jeff Cunningham. A few new vendors are coming later in the season also, “I have quite a few new vendors, a couple of produce people, a new dog treat vendor. We’re looking forward to getting those guys in, but we have to get one market under our feet so we know what we have left to rent.”
Musical acts are scheduled over the season and will be set up in Iron Horse Park, located at 7th & “Q” Street, and generally between 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
More information on products and vendors can be found at the Haymarket Farmers Market website.
