Voter turnout hit 45.7% in Tuesday’s general election. Another round of vote counting Wednesday put the total turnout at 80,760 ballots.
In the Lincoln Mayor’s race, challenger Suzanne Geist added 1,013 votes while incumbent Leirion Gaylor Baird widened her margin of victory by 1,912 votes. Approximately 690 provisional and resolution ballots are left to count with an updated final expected Friday.
