Lincoln Children’s Museum To Open Orchard Exhibit

By Tom Stanton Apr 21, 2023 | 3:31 PM

The Lincoln Children’s Museum will open The Orchard exhibit on Sunday. The newly remodeled area of play will officially open with a celebration to include an opportunity to play within the new exhibit, apple-themed activities on each floor of the museum, apple-cider tastings and giveaways,

The festivities will run from noon to 4 p.m.  In The Orchard exhibit, children will be able to harvest apples and watch them travel through the exhibit on conveyor belts. They will also be able to play in the exhibit’s market, where they can make and sell pretend items made with apples, including apple pie, apple juice, and of course, fresh apples.

“We are eager to open The Orchard, and we believe it will be a fantastic opportunity for children to learn about the apple’s journey, pollinators, and entrepreneurship in a fun and interactive way,” says Executive Director Tara Knuth. “We look forward to welcoming families to the museum to enjoy this new experience.”
