Another day of high risk for wildfire development is forecast for Southeast Nebraska. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 12 noon to 8 pm today (Thursday) as warm temperatures, low relative humidity and strong winds are forecast. South winds of 20 to 30 mph sustained are forecast with gusts to 45 mph.
A slow moving cold front has moved into Northwestern Nebraska and will bring a marginal chance of severe thunderstorms Friday. Sharply cooler weather is forecast Saturday with highs only in the low 50s.
