An investigation is underway after a human body was found in southwest Lancaster County Tuesday morning. Sheriff Terry Wagner says the body around 9:40 a.m. near Highway 33 and SW 128th Street.
“It has been there for some time, there is significant decomposition,” Wagner says. “We have determined the victim is a male, 5′ 4″ tall and unknown race.”
Wagner says they have not identified the man or determined how he died. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday. He says a couple of workers in a piece of equipment were driving along side the road and spotted the body in the ditch, which is located about a mile west of the Olive Creek Lake State Recreation Area.
