It was a very busy weekend for Lincoln Fire and Rescue as crews battled three separate house fires.  The first one broke out near 32nd and Old Cheney around 10:25 Saturday night. LFR Captain Nancy Crist says the fire started on the deck and was accelerated by the wind.  The flames extended into the attic of the home.  The fire was caused by an improperly discarded cigarette resulting in $250,000 damage to the home.

The second call was Sunday at 12:45 pm at a mobile home near  37th and Cornhusker Hwy.  An improperly discarded cigarette in an overstuffed chair caused about $75,000 in damage.  A woman and her two dogs had to be relocated

Around 3:20 Sunday afternoon crews responded to a home near 68th and Vine and found heavy smoke coming from a detached garage.  Most of the damage was confined to the garage but there was blistering to the outside of the home.  The fire was caused by embers from a fire pit resulting in $45,000 damage.

No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
