Lancaster County Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen has announced the final official results for Tuesday’s Lincoln Primary Election have been finalized.
The two candidates with the most votes in the races for mayor, city council and LPS Board of Education advanced to the General Election on May 2.
In the race for mayor, the final results show Gaylor Baird with 29,216 votes followed by Suzanne Geist with 19,377 votes. Stan Parker was in third place with 10,071 votes. One day after the primary, Geist announced she was resigning as state senator of District 25 to focus all of her attention on the race for Lincoln mayor.
Voter turnout for the primary was 33 percent of registered voters. Click here to see all of the final results.
