Domestic Assault Case Against Mickey Joseph Dismissed

By Tom Stanton Apr 5, 2023 | 11:21 AM

A Lancaster County judge has dismissed the domestic assault case against former Husker football coach Mickey Joseph. Joseph and his attorney appeared briefly in court Wednesday morning through a zoom call.

The prosecutor filed a motion to dismiss the case because the victim in the case has declined to testify.  Judge Laurie Yardley agreed and dismissed the case.

Joseph was arrested late last November following a domestic disturbance at a home in Lincoln. The victim accused Joseph of putting his hands on the victim’s throat during an argument.  He was charged with felony strangulation.

Joseph served as interim head coach following the firing of Scott Frost on Sept. 11.
