Lincoln Police say 18 year old Damien Brave was the man shot and killed at a house party near 27th and Fair Streets late Friday night.  Police Chief Teresa Ewins says they have “several people of interest” and are trying to determine how many people are responsible.

“We are aware there were dozens of high school aged individuals at this party who possibly witnessed what occurred leading up to the shooting and events afterwards, ” Ewins says.    She says all information is valuable in this case.

“Whether you believe you have information or not it’s very important for us to piece it together to understand the events that led up to the shooting,” Ewins says.  “Parents, ask your kids.  Were you there?  What did you see”?

She says Brave was shot several times and later died at the hospital.   He was a former student of both Lincoln High and Lincoln Southeast.  Anyone with information can call a dedicated tip line at 402-441-7333.
