LPD Says Murder Victims Were Struck More Than Once With Car

By Tom Stanton Mar 30, 2023 | 11:22 AM

Lincoln Police have released more details in Monday’s incident at the Lodge Apartments where two men were struck and killed by a car.  27 year old Taylor Bradley is accused of deliberately hitting 42 year old Chris Karmazin and 45 year old Ronald Gonzalez-Rivas.

“A third victim, 48 year old Robert Sargent, has been identified as a party Bradley also attempted to strike with her vehicle,” Assistant Chief Brian Jackson says.  All three men were maintenance workers at the complex.  Sargent was not hurt.

Jackson says the Karmazin and Gonzalez-Rivas were struck more than once.  “It appears Bradley may had been amidst a mental health crisis and the maintenance employees were her focus.  Nothing suggests the maintenance staff did anything to initiate this event.”

During a court hearing on Wednesday Bradley’s charges were upgraded to two counts of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.  She’s also charged with three counts of using a weapon to commit a felony.

“It will take some time as we continue the investigation to more clearly understand the circumstances surrounding this event,” Jackson says.  Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
