Lincoln Police Identify Two Men Killed At Apartment Complex

By Tom Stanton Mar 29, 2023 | 10:35 AM

Lincoln Police have identified the two maintenance workers who were struck by a vehicle and killed Monday afternoon at the Lodge Apartment complex near 46th and Nebraska Parkway.

Lincoln Police Chief Teresa Ewins says 42 year old Chris Karmazin and 45 year old Ronald Gonzalez were in a grassy area of a parking lot when they were deliberately struck by 27 year old Taylor Bradley.  She left the scene and was arrested several blocks away and booked for two counts of second degree murder.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive. Garrett Karmazin is Chris’ brother and has set up a GoFundMe page to help his family with funeral, burial and living costs.

“Chris was a charismatic individual who loved being a father and husband,” Garrett says.  “He leaves behind 3 children: Sehven (24 years old), Lydia (12 years old), and Laurel (6 years old)- and his loving wife, Aylin. Also, Chris loved spending time with his friends playing board games and was an avid animal lover. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and working with his hands. His greatest joy was being a father.”
