College basketball fans won’t have a chance to place bets at the Warhorse Casino in Lincoln. “We’ll miss March Madness, we’re not going to be able to be standing up by then,” says Lynn McNally, CEO of Nebraska Horsemen.

She tells KLIN News there’s still some red tape to cut through. “The vendor has to be licensed by the state of Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission first and they can’t do any business in the state until the background check has been completed,” McNally says.

She says when that is done they will be able to get the vendor in to install the equipment and put in the new wiring. McNally is hoping that customers will be able to place a bet on their favorite team by late spring or early summer.
