Lincoln Police say a front yard argument between neighborhood children led to a violent confrontation between two women. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says officers were called to area of 56th and Deweese around 2:30 Friday afternoon by a 28 year old woman.
“The victim advised the argument stemmed from their children playing in the front yard and turned to arguing.” Vollmer says the victim said her neighbor knocked on the door and confronted her about the children fighting.
“The neighbor then reportedly struck the victim with the bar.” She was taken to the hospital for treatment of a head laceration. The neighbor, 30 year old Deanita Dill, was taken into custody.
A search warrant was served at her residence and a metal prybar was recovered inside. Dill was booked into jail for 2nd degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
