Public Open House For South 56th Street Project

By Tom Stanton Feb 20, 2023 | 12:14 PM

Lincoln residents will have a chance to attend an open house on March 1 regarding proposed street improvements along South 56th Street.

The event will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gere Branch Library at 2400 South 56th Street.  The proposed project include improving the aging pavement from Spruce to Van Dorn streets.

Residents will be able to make suggestions or express concerns regarding this proposed project. Design information will be displayed, and members of the project team will be available to answer questions and receive comments.

Comments will be collected through March 16.   Construction could begin as early as spring 2025 and be completed the following winter.
