An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln is back in custody.  30 year old Dakota Parrott did not return to the facility from his job in the community Friday.

He turned himself in Saturday morning and was transported to the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln.  The Department of Correctional Services says 30 year old Dakota Parrott removed his electronic monitor near South 48th and Sumner Streets Friday morning.

Parrott started his sentence on October 29, 2018. He was sentenced to 5 years to 6 years and 90 days. His charges include use of a firearm to commit a felony and terroristic threats and driving under a revoked license.

Parrott has a tentative release date of September 20, 2024. He is scheduled for a parole hearing this June.  CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
