An Eagle man was rescued from his vehicle after it went off the road during Thursday morning’s snowstorm and rolled into a creek east of Lincoln. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner tells KLIN News the driver lost control on the snow covered roadway around 8:20 a.m. near 134th and O Street and rolled into the water.
“He was trapped in the vehicle and was in water for about 20 minutes,” Wagner says. First responders were able to pull the man from the car and get him to an area hospital. He was treated for hypothermia and back injuries.
The crash happened as heavy snow was falling across the area and created reduced visibilities.
