Two 22-year-old men are in jail following a narcotics investigation that took place on Friday evening. The scent of marijuana coming from a Chevy Impala around 33rd and A St was enough to warrant a search from officers.
Investigating officers found a 9mm handgun, over $1,200 in cash, and over 210 grams of marijuana spread throughout the car and on the occupants of the car: Anthony Young and Armani Gregory. Both men were taken into custody and taken to jail.
Young has been charged with possessing money while violating statute 28-416 (“knowingly or intentionally possessing marijuana weighing more than one ounce but not more than one pound”) and intent to deliver a controlled substance. Gregory has been charged with those same charges and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and during a felony drug violation.
