| Former vice chairman of the NU Board of Regents Tim Clare, of Lincoln, today assumed his role as chairman of the Board. This is Clare’s third tenure as chair, following stints in the position in 2013 and 2019. Regent Rob Schafer was elected as vice chairman.
Clare was elected to the Board in 2008. He also serves on the West Haymarket Joint Public Agency and was recently awarded the Roger T. Larson Community Builder Award, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce’s highest individual honor, for his extensive civic engagement. Schafer was appointed to the Board in 2013, elected the following year, and was its chairman in 2018. He is a partner at Smith Schafer Davis Gaertig LLC and a lieutenant colonel in the Nebraska Air National Guard. |
